Returns

I want you to be happy with your purchase from Carol Makes in Melbourne. Here’s how returns and exchanges work:

Handmade Items
Each handmade piece is created with care and attention to detail, so small variations in fabric placement or stitching are part of its character and not considered faults. If your handmade item arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, please email me within 14 days at hello@carolmakesinmelbourne.com.au. You are entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, or store credit in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Retail Products
If a retail product arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, the same rights apply; you can choose a repair, replacement, refund, or store credit.

I ask that the original item is returned using a tracked satchel so it can be safely received. I’ll cover the cost of sending your replacement back to you.

Change of Mind
I’m unable to offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect choice, or sale items. This includes custom-made pieces that have been created to your selected fabrics or specifications.

How to Return Your Item

If you believe your item is faulty or has arrived damaged, please contact me at hello@carolmakesinmelbourne.com.au with your order details and, if required,  photos of the issue.

Once your return has been assessed and approved, I’ll provide you with a return label and instructions for sending it back. Please ensure the item is carefully packed in its original condition.

When your return is received and inspected, I’ll process your refund, replacement, or store credit as agreed.

Customers are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or damaged.
