This Rainbow Mini Sampler Quilt is a great way to explore a selection of shapes and designs using pretty Liberty Quilting Fabric. This beautifully curated sampler Rainbow Mini quilt kit is suitable for an advancing beginner sewer and is constructed using a mixture of techniques that will help to add to your sewing skills.
English Paper Piecing (EPP) is a traditional hand sewing quilting method which is simple and, as you will find, quite addictive! The raw edge appliqué technique may be completed either by hand or with a sewing machine, the choice is up to you. It does require a bit of concentration but is easily mastered and there is no end to the items you can make with this method of appliqué!
The kit features an array of vibrant Liberty quilting fabric, perfect for bringing this joyful mini quilt to life with colour and charm.
*Suitable for a beginner sewer, it is constructed using English paper piecing and raw edge appliqué techniques. This does require some concentration, but will help advance your sewing skills. *
THIS KIT INCLUDES
1 piece of ivory cotton fabric for blocks, backing and centre of Block 3’s EPP 1 piece of Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric for borders
1 piece of Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric for binding
16 pieces of Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric for block EPP and raw edge appliqué
YOU WILL NEED
Iron, pins, thread to match each fabric, sewing machine (it is handy to be able to drop the feed dog) or hand sewing needle, ruler, cutting mat, scissors or rotary cutter
Optional: free motion quilting foot, washable adhesive glue stick
Wadding: approx 19” x 19” (48.5cm x 48.5cm)
Iron-on transfer adhesive (such as Bondaweb): minimum approx. 11” x 271⁄2” (28cm x 70cm)
